The completion by ERGOSE of the 2nd Phase of the project is the first step to make the Thriasio Pedio complex the main – and the first in general – integrated freight center of combined transport of the country and an important international freight hub.
The project, with a budget of 60.2 million euros, is crucial, as it brings together most of the railway activities that are currently scattered in the wider area of the capital, while it is also connected by three means of transport, to the port of Ikonion (PPA), the Athens airport and the road network. This connectivity makes it unique in Europe.
The wider complex will house customs, OSE maintenance factories, but also large management and logistics companies.
The implemented projects include the 13.1 km long railway line , construction of building facilities within the complex, signaling – remote control, electrification on 33 km of railway line, within the complex, remaining sewerage and sewerage works and E / M facilities.
