Greek civil protection authorities on Saturday ordered a 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. curfew for the popular holiday island of Mykonos, after a surge in the number of new confirmed cases of Covid-19 reported there.
Public health authorities also cited the detection of a high concentration of the virus on the isle, considered the premiere summer party destination in the country.
A ban on music played by bars and clubs was also imposed.
The urgent measures will be in force until at least July 26.
