According to the data of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), the General Volume Index (turnover at constant prices), in May 2021, compared to the corresponding index of May 2020, showed an increase of 15.3% and compared to the corresponding index of April 2021 it showed an increase of 3.0%.
An increase of 5.8% showed the seasonally adjusted General Turnover Index, in May 2021, compared to the corresponding index of April 2021.
Another increase of 5.0% showed the seasonally adjusted General Volume Index, in May 2021, compared to the corresponding index of April 2021.
It should, also, be noted that the Turnover Index increased by 15.0% in May 2021, compared to the corresponding index in May 2020 was a result of variations in categories such as clothing and shoes, fuels, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, books, stationary or big food stores.
