German travel agents do not consider this summer a loss for the European South and the Mediterranean, as they do not see a desire of their customers to cancel or change their reservations for holidays in countries affected by major fires, reports the German Travel Association (DRV ), which represents travel agents and travel agencies.

According to the Association, “the holiday hotels of German travel agents, especially on the coast, if in some cases have been affected, have been only marginally affected”. According to the German News Agency (dpa), there is a growing need for holidaymakers planning to travel to Greece and Turkey to find out if the area they are going to visit has been affected by the fires. “However, there is almost no desire to cancel or change the reservation,” explains DRV.
