Furious Mantzios – “Club asking for foreign referees vindicated”

Akis Mantzios anger as evident even from the very first minutes after the end of the OAKA match. Aris coach believes his team has been robbed, referee Diamantopoulos calls brought this defeat on his side and the result was manipulated . That was why he talked about “incredible things”; however, his comments were not made in the heat of the moment, but fully consciously. Actually, he reiterated that, or even worse than that, during the ensuing Press Conference.

In particular, he said: “Today, we were the best team on the pitch. I will speak in solely sporting terms: before we concede, we had two top chances and, even after we conceded, we could have equalized. Having said that, things happened afterwards than vindicated the club asking for foreign referees in such derbies. We were also better in the second half, we played amazing football and although we were two goals down, we scored and could have equalised or even won the match”.
