What has happened tonight at OAKA is beyond belief. And it seems like there is no end to it. A while ago, Lazaros Rota of AEK, was called to comment on his substitution (25’ into the game) by Argyris Giannikis.

How did he reply? “Following the harsh tackle I did, the fourth referee told him, I don’t know who told him exactly to be honest, to substitute me because I would be punished with a red card if I did another one. It was rational for him to replace me, but I certainly don’t feel good to have been subbed off so early on.”

So, according to the young defender –who obviously realised what he said later on and wanted to change his wording–, the 4th referee allegedly advised AEK’s coach to replace him on the field. He had received a yellow card 7’ into the game.

He was spared a second one 17’ into the game, which would leave Enossi one-man down during almost the entire game. Well, it looks like it would have been the third strike! Unless of course AEK’s coach replaced him.
