The Property Tax ENFIA will be reduced by 70 million euros, in 2022, for more than 6.3 million property owners. According to the budget submitted today to the Parliament, the receipts from the property tax ENFIA are projected to reach 2.503 billion euros, next year, from 2.570 billion euros confirmed this year.
This reduction, as clarified by officials of the Ministry of Finance, doesn’t relate to the result that will arise after the integration of the new objective values in ENFIA paid by the property owners.
The calculation exercise of the new Property Tax ENFIA is in progress as, during this period, the competent services of the Ministry of Finance complete the integration of the new objective values of the real estate of the taxpayers. As soon as this exercise is completed, the calculation exercise of the new Property Tax ENFIA scale will start, in which the additional tax will be incorporated.
According to Finance Ministry officials, the government has committed to a neutral fiscal effect on property tax, after the implementation of the new objective values, while most property owners will eventually be asked to pay less real estate tax.
