All those who have an unemployment card issued by the Manpower Employment Organization (OAED) have a number of benefits and rights.

The Manpower Employment Organization lists the rights and “bonuses” for those who hold an unemployment card, which concern, among other things, the scoring in ASEP announcements, Community Service programs and more.

  • Promotion points in ASEP announcements
  • Promotion Points in Public Benefit Programs
  • Opportunity to Participate in Active Policies (Employment, Training, Counseling)
  • Opportunity to Participate in Social Protection Programs (Social Tourism, Camp). [This right is lost in the event that the unemployed lose their status as unemployed at a time that does not allow them to meet the conditions for participation in these programs as employees]
  • Provision of Medical Care to Unemployed up to 29 years old
  • Sickness Benefits to the Unemployed Aged 29 to 55 years
  • Sickness Benefits to the Long-Term Unemployed, 55 years and older
  • Optional Insurance for the Long-Term Unemployed to acquire pension rights Due to Old Age
  • Inclusion in the PPC Social Tariff
  • Reductions or Exemptions from the tax authority (ENFIA etc.).
  • Inclusion in favorable arrangements related to loans, debts, etc. (Katseli Law).
  • Free public transportation
  • Opportunity to Participate in offers of companies in the private sector
  • Beneficiaries of various benefits (e.g. heating allowance).
  • Potential beneficiaries of the Social Solidarity Income.
  • Possible benefits from Municipal facilities (e.g. municipal swimming pools, municipal theaters).
  • Free entrance to archeological sites, monuments and museums
