Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday spoke by phone with the new prime minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovachevski, with the former congratulating the latter over his assumption of the office.

Mitsotakis also reiterated Greece’s support of the western Balkan states’ European prospects, including those of North Macedonia, based on the criteria in place. He also underlined that this support is contingent on the absolute implementation of the Prespa Agreement.

Both men, according to reports, express a mutual volition to reinforce multi-level bilateral relations and cooperation, especially in the economic and trade fronts.
