ELTA Courier is creating its own e-commerce platform. The global trend of marketplaces has reached Greece, as the pandemic turned Greek consumers in online stores even for their daily shopping. The new platform, ecouriermarket.com, is already in trial operation and in the first seven days has already integrated 90 stores, while by the end of the month it is estimated that it will have reached or exceeded 140, with the total number of products reaching 1 million
The subsidiary of ELTA is entering a highly competitive market. The new e-commerce portal, whose pilot operation is expected to be completed by the end of February, brings together products and offers from different stores and integrates the ordering process in the ELTA Courier distribution system, bringing the products faster to consumers.
In fact, unlike already available platforms, where the charging is done in stages with a percentage of the turnover, the proposal of ELTA Courier is offered in the form of an annual fixed subscription, so that professionals and companies can plan their expenses and offer more competitive prices to consumers.
Users of the platform have the opportunity to choose products from 11 categories, including fashion, health and beauty, children’s and baby items, hobby and sports, home and garden, car and machine, philatelic products – philately, as well as to see quickly to the current offers homepage.
There is also an application for free download and installation through the Play Store for Android users and an App Store for iPhone / iPad users.
As for the cooperating companies, they are not required to have their own e-shop. This is undertaken free of charge by the service of ecouriermarket.gr, which offers, according to information, a unique SUBDOMAIN for each merchant, free of charge, without annual costs. Thus, companies create an additional channel for the distribution of their products and the creation of additional sales, having at the same time solved the issue of the last mile.
The advantages for companies include the possibility of immediate information for each new order received by the e-shop as well as scheduling of day and time of receipt by ELTA Courier, live technical support, creation of online warehouse for those companies that do not keep computerized, to calculate the stock and stock updates. Social Media connection, media corner and detailed reporting are also available. In addition, packages are provided by ELTA Courier in different dimensions with discreet marking, so that space is offered for the branding of the trader.
In particular, companies have the option of choosing between three types of subscriptions. The three monthly subscription options cost € 19.90 (silver), € 49.90 (gold) and € 99.90 (platinum), excluding VAT, and include additional applications and services, such as the ability to interface with commercial programs for updating stocks or prices or connecting the e-shop to social media.
