Planet: Undertakes two new projects for the EBRD

The first project concerns the Study on the national strategy for the development of e-mobility in Greece

Planet is undertaking two strategically important projects for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The first project concerns the Study on the national strategy for the development of e-mobility in Greece, which includes the assessment of the current situation and the short-term and medium-term market prospects for the readiness of electric vehicles, as well as the formulation of requirements for the consequent vehicle charging infrastructure within the cities but also in the road network of the country. The project was commissioned by the EBRD in a joint venture of PLANET with the German firm Dornier Consulting. This is the development of the framework that will allow the transition to sustainable road transport but also to a future with zero emissions, always in line with European priorities.

The second project concerns the technical, financial and legal support for the maturation and implementation with a PPP model of the irrigation network and the Minagiotikos dam in the Peloponnese, which includes a reservoir with a capacity of 11 million cubic meters for the irrigation of 35,000 acres with beneficiaries. million. The project was commissioned by the EBRD to PLANET, a leading international consortium. This is a project that comes to face a key problem of the agricultural sector, that of outdated irrigation networks, helping to meet the irrigation needs of the area, reducing irrigation costs and water waste.

Christos Giannakopoulos, President and CEO of PLANET said: “It is a great joy and responsibility for us at PLANET, to undertake these two particularly important projects for the country. Besides, it is a firm strategic choice of our company to claim and implement projects that contribute decisively to the implementation of policies and the achievement of national goals for green development “.
