A warm handshake and “small talk” was the latest tête-à-tête between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday evening, on the sidelines of an extraordinary NATO summit to focus on the situation in war-ravaged Ukraine.
The two leaders spoke briefly before the “family portrait” of the summit was taken.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and massive repercussion on Europe and the world has ostensibly caused an ever-minor “thaw” in bilateral relations on the state level between Athens and Ankara.
