EODY: 77 COVID-19 deaths, over 8,000 infections, 180 reinfections, over 300 intubated
A total of 24,888 patients with COVID-19 have died in Greece since the beginning of the pandemic, 95.5 percent with underlying health conditions and/or age 70 or older.

The National Public Health Organisation (EODY) today announced 77 deaths of COVID-19 patients and 8,223 infections confirmed in the last 24 hours.
A total of 24,888 patients with COVID-19 have died in Greece since the beginning of the pandemic, 95.5 percent with underlying health conditions and/or age 70 or older.
Since the start of the pandemic, EODY has recorded 3.2mn infections (49 percent men), with a daily increase of 0.2 percentage points.
Reinfections
In the last 24 hours, 180 COVID reinfections have been confirmed, and the total number of reinfections is estimated at 119,902 (3.6 percent of COVID-positive tests overall).
Intubated patients, hospital admissions
There are currently 329 intubated COVID-19 patients (64.7 percent men), with a median age of 70-years-old, and 93.3 percent have an underlying medical condition and/or are age 70 or older.
Of intubated patients, 53.8 percent are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, while 46.2 percent are fully vaccinated.
In the last 24 hours, 262 COVID-19 patients have been admitted to hospital (a daily increase of 6.94 percent). For the last seven days, the average daily number of admissions is 295 patients.
The median age of individuals with newly confirmed infections is 36-years-old, while the median age of those who died was 79-years-old.
