Turnover in accommodation and food service took off in April [Tables]

Turnover of the accommodation, but also of restaurants, really took off during April, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).

For the enterprises in Accommodation Activities (division 55 of NACE Rev.2 classification), obliged to double-entry bookkeeping, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in April 2022 amounted to 221,978,672 euro, recording an increase of 518.7% in comparison with April 2021, when the respective turnover was 35,880,264 euro.

For the enterprises in Food and Beverage Service Activities (division 56 of NACE Rev.2 classification), obliged to double-entry bookkeeping, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in April 2022 amounted to 149,376,858 euro, recording an increase of 134.2% in comparison with April 2021, when the respective turnover was 63,794,118 euro.

In total, for the enterprises in Accommodation and Food and Beverage Service Activities (divisions 55 and 56 of NACE Rev. 2 classification), obliged to double-entry bookkeeping, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in April 2022 amounted to 371,355,530 euro, recording an increase of 272.6% in comparison with April 2021, when the respective turnover was
99,674,382 euro. For the enterprises of the Regional Units with a contribution to the total turnover of the year 2021 greater than 1.0%, the biggest increase in the turnover of April 2022 compared with April 2021 was recorded in the Regional Unit Rodos (1,042.7%) and the smallest increase was recorded in the Regional Unit Evia (111.5%).
