The influential primate of the Church of Greece, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos, this week has again tested positive for the Covid-19 virus, marking the second infection of the same virus for the octogenarian hierarch.

According to a brief announcement issued by the Archdiocese of Athens on Thursday, the Archbishop remains at his residence and is being treated by his personal physician, although no symptoms have emerged.
Ieronymos has received all three recommended vaccinations for the virus.
