Aria Hotels: Its portfolio now numbers 50 properties in Greece

The Aria Hotels portfolio, which includes boutique hotels, holiday villas and historic homes, has reached 50 accommodations.

Fifty accommodations are now included in the portfolio of Aria Hotels, a subsidiary of the Libra Group, which owns and manages properties in more than 50 countries.

Aria Hotels has a range of different and unique accommodations throughout Greece, which have as a common theme the commitment to promoting authentic Greek hospitality, through the renovation of historic buildings, such as windmills and towers, while preserving their cultural and architectural character. The properties include boutique hotels in popular destinations, restored listed buildings as well as little known “gems”, which offer a traditional taste of Greece.

Regarding the milestone of 50 venues, Mr. Makis Pantazatos, Aria Hotels CEO noted that “we will continue to expand and invest in real estate that will contribute to being a strong choice in the field of hospitality for an experience of a truly Greek character.

The history of Aria Hotels began in 2010 with the acquisition and renovation of a traditional Greek windmill, dating from 1852, turning it into a boutique luxury hotel (The Windmill). Today, the company’s portfolio includes 50 venues, among which are uniquely beautiful seaside homes, fortified towers, boutique hotels and luxury villas. Starting from Kimolos, Aria Hotels expanded to Crete, adding to their portfolio hotels, private villas and venues that offer wine tourism experiences. They then acquired real estate on the green Ionian islands and in the Cyclades, including Mykonos and Santorini, while also promoting a private island. The portfolio of Aria Hotels is diverse and multi-faceted and includes from suites in the heart of Athens to a boutique hotel in the magical mountains of Zagori in Epirus.

One of the jewels of the Aria Hotels portfolio is the residence of the writer, scholar and World War II hero, Sir Patrick Leigh Fermor, in the Southeastern Peloponnese. In 1996 the house was bequeathed to the Benaki Museum as a shelter for artists and writers. Aria Hotels has been entrusted with the management of this unique residence during the summer months, which is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

Aria Hotels is one of the subsidiaries of the Libra Group, a privately owned business group with decades of experience in Greece. The Libra Group has in its history numerous commercial initiatives and actions of Corporate Social Responsibility in Greece.
