The contract for the service of the “barren” coastal shipping line serving the islands of Kasos and Karpathos was signed between the Ministry of Shipping and the shipping company Sea Speed Lines, owner of the Cyprus flagged passenger ferry “Olympus”.
The contract expires on 31/10/2022, with the possibility of an extension of four more months.
It is noted that the tender was held in August 2021, however the selection of the contractor and the signing of the contract was delayed as there were legal interventions by other ferry companies against the result of the tender.
