The Fire Brigade has been alerted for a fire in the wider area of Alepochori.
According to the first information, it broke out at approximately 13:30 in the Veniza location and is burning a forest area.
Ground and air forces have been thrown into the battle, while winds are blowing at the scene, making the work of firefighters difficult.
It is noted that thick smoke is visible in many areas in Megara.
