Incentives and disincentives for energy saving are expected to be announced in October, the Greek Prime Minister, Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced during the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair.

As he said: “In the battle of energy we were the first to unfold a plan. I am glad that the Commission is moving, even if belatedly, on Athens’ proposals. Interventions will be continuous. We have neutralised the effects of the indexation clause. An energy saving plan will have to be introduced and will be implemented in October with incentives and disincentives.”

Referring to the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis, the Greek Prime Minister stated that: “the Russian president, who provoked all these skyrocketing bills, should be the one to pay them”.
