United Arab Emirates is the honored country
The 86th Thessaloniki International Fair opens its gates today, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Mr. Mitsotakis at 8 pm at the “I.Vellidis” conference center will present the axes of the government’s economic policy and the measures to support households and businesses in the face of the energy crisis.
The Prime Minister, who has been in Thessaloniki since yesterday afternoon, will meet with the board of directors of TIF – Helexpo at 10:30 today and at 11:00 he will tour the booths of the Fair, while tomorrow Sunday at one in the afternoon he will give an interview Press at the “I. TIF is back
“TIF is back, the city is celebrating again”, said the president of TIF-Helexpo, Tasos Tzikas, as it is the first Fair in full operation after the coronavirus pandemic.
1,500 exhibitors are participating, the exhibition spaces are sold out and the goal of the organizers is to be one of the best TIF of the decade.
Honored country: United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the honored country at the 86th TIF. The UAE delegation consists of 400 people and 65 very important companies and institutions of the private and public sector, with the leading sectors being investment management, energy, food-drinks, defense, space technology, tourism, shipping, real-estate etc. The UAE delegation is led by the country’s Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.
In addition to the United Arab Emirates, 18 other countries are participating, including the USA, Luxembourg, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Armenia, Iran, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Cyprus, Georgia, Romania, India, Nepal and Egypt.
For the third year in a row, the Thessaloniki Helexpo Forum will be held at the same time, with thematic panel discussions on major economic and development issues.
In the framework of the 86th TIF, a large anniversary tribute will be presented for the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Disaster.
The 86th TIF will last until Sunday 18 September and the opening hours are weekdays 16.00 – 22.00 and weekends 10.00 – 22.00.
