Chamber Prez Masoutis- TIF: Businesses and economy return to normality

The pavilion of the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce was inaugurated with a large number of exhibitors and market executives, presidents and representatives of chambers of commerce from all over Greece, visitors, as well as representatives of the State and local government, ministers and members of parliament, at the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair.

The chamber community had a strong presence at Pavilions 2 and 3, given that 343 businesses from 46 chambers from all over the country participated in this year’s TIF.

The ribbon of the pavilion was cut jointly by the President of the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Yannis Masoutis, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis and the Minister of Rural Development, Mr. Giorgos Georgantas. The ceremony was addressed by the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Zervas, the President of TIF-HELEXPO, Mr. Tasos Tzikas, while the MP of Serres, Mr. Tasos Hadjivassiliou, and the Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer Protection, Mr. Sotiris Anagnostopoulos, were also present.

The President of the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Masoutis, referred to the importance of the structured presence of the Union, every year, at TIF, while he thanked the representatives of political power who honored with their presence the chamber institution. Mr. Masoutis placed particular emphasis on the need to return to normality both as an economy and as businesses.

Immediately afterwards, the pavilion was visited by the Minister of Development and Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiadισ,, who spoke with the presidents of the Chambers and the Presidency of the Union, as well as with exhibitors – entrepreneurs.
