Sial 2022: Participation of 100 companies under the umbrella of Enterprise Greece

The largest International Food Exhibition in the world SIAL PARIS 2022, has opened its doors with resounding success , after a four-year absence due to the pandemic. The Exhibition features a very large and impressive Greek participation, which is organized 15-19/10 by the Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company (Enterprise Greece).

In this year’s SIAL Paris, in which 126 countries participate with more than 7,000 exhibitors, Greece was ranked 5th in terms of participation. The exhibition includes 20 stands in which all the products of the food and beverage industry, retail products, as well as products related to the food service industry are displayed. This year’s exhibition highlighted the pillars of the nutritional trends of our time:

1 – natural products, as health is extremely important to consumers, who choose products from natural raw materials / ingredients that have undergone simpler processing.

2 – environmentally and ethically responsible producers: a label is no longer enough to guarantee the producer that his product does not have a negative impact on the air, the land, the animals or the people involved in its production. Ethics and responsibility are increasingly of concern to consumers, who demand tangible evidence that companies deliver on their promises.

The National Pavilion, with an area of ​​approximately 1,600 square meters, hosts 100 outward-facing businesses, the Regions of Attica, Thessaly, Epirus, Central Greece, and the Chambers of Achaia, Boeotia, Evia and Larissa. The message of National Participation focuses on Greek food, as the center of the Mediterranean diet but also a leading example of a healthy, natural diet that provides well-being and pleasure.

Greek exhibitors held a total of more than 20,000 business meetings, during which they had the opportunity to present the best food products produced in our country and promote them to professionals and businesses from all over the world.

Finally, throughout the exhibition, there is a display area for the world-famous feta cheese and Greek yogurt, where chef Dina Nikolaou performs daily cooking demonstrations that tempt the palates of hundreds of visitors.
