The provisions of the joint ministerial decision

Through a Joint Ministerial Decision, Greek national law is harmonized in due time with Community Directive 2022/2407, which incorporates in its annexes, the new version of the Agreement for the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR 2023) and the Regulation for the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID 2023).
The Joint Ministerial Decision was signed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Yiannis Golias, as an expediter, and the Ministers of Finance, Mr. Theodoros Pelagidis, of Development and Investments, Ms. Eleni Louris, of National Defense, Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, of Education and Religion, Mr. Christos Kittas, of the Environment and Energy Mr. Pantelis Kapros and Citizen Protection Mr. Charalambos Lalousis.
Agreement
The ADR Agreement and the RID Regulation include the rules for the safe transport of dangerous goods, which are revised every two years, following adaptation to scientific and technological developments.
The same decision updates the training framework for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods Consultants, who provide instructions to companies active in the transport of dangerous goods, with the aim of preventing accidents with possible effects on human lives, property and the environment.
