An increase in passenger traffic at the ports of Piraeus by 10.63% and Rafina by 11.33% was recorded during the first 15 days of July 2023 compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
More specifically, as announced by the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy, the period from 1.7.23 to 16.7.2023 recorded in the port of Piraeus an increase in passenger traffic compared to last year by 10.63%, in cars 6.79%, in trucks 5.45% and in two-wheelers 9.82%.
In particular, the largest increase in passenger traffic is observed in the Argosaronic Islands.
In total, 743,492 passengers (672,068 in 2022), 92,081 cars (86,223 in 2022), 21,625 trucks (20,508 in 2022) and 18,973 two-wheelers (17,277 in 2022) have moved from the port of Piraeus in the first 15 days of this year.
Accordingly, in the period from 1.7.23 to 16.7.2023, the port of Rafina recorded an increase in passenger traffic compared to last year by 11.33%, in cars 12.92%, in trucks there is a decrease of 6.89% and in two-wheelers an increase of 2.97%.
In total, 178,002 passengers (159,881 in 2022), 32,476 cars (28,761 in 2022), 2,582 trucks (2,773 in 2022) and 3,361 two-wheelers (3,264 in 2022) have moved from the port of Rafina on the first 15 days of July 2023.
