Greece’s balance of travel services posted a surplus of 3.88 billion euros in July 2023, up from 3.4 billion euros in the corresponding year of 2022, with travel receipts up by 15.1 percent to 4.146.2 billion euros, up from 3.601.7 billion euros in July 2022, the Bank of Greece (BoG) announced on Thursday.

The announced result more-or-less points to a record-breaking tourism season this year, exceeding the previous “banner year” of 2019.
